I have been making candles & wax melts for over 30 years, as gifts for friends & loved ones as well as myself as a hobby.  For the past 15 years I have been working as a foster carer but was unfortunately diagnosed with Breast Cancer in the Summer of 2016.  I was extremely lucky following surgery & radiotherapy & on the road to full recovery.  I needed to change my life to a ‘stress free zone’ … I decided to take a leap of faith & turn my therapeutic hobby into a business; friends & family had been suggesting it for years…but now I was ready … Mermaid Queen Melts was born….

Originally I worked with paraffin & other waxes, but having tried them all I decided that I preferred Soy wax for the following reasons. Soy wax generally burns for longer than paraffin, Soy wax burns cleaner than paraffin, Soy wax is of natural vegetable origin whereas paraffin is a petroleum by-product. Soy wax is 100% biodegradable & paraffin is not.

All the wax sold by Mermaid Queen Melts is hand crafted by myself, in small batches, to ensure an absolutely authentic, high quality Eco Soy wax melt & the highest possible percentages of top quality Fragrance Oils, sourced from around the globe to bring to my customers (& fellow scented wax enthusiasts) the premier experience.  Each batch is hand coloured & fragranced in perfect harmony to ensure that the wax melts look beautiful in solid form & once melted, as well as having the strongest possible scent throw.
